A haven for beer-lovers has temporarily closed for a substantial refurbishment.

craft-3The Craft Beer Co., in Upper North Street, Brighton, opened two years ago and has won a loyal following of ale fans, offering a range of cask ales and some of the finest important beers from around the world.

Martin Hayes, the current owner, is investing heavily in the public house, which will be closed until Friday, July 25 while improvements are made.

Mr Hayes said: “When we re-open we will have increased the trading space by 300% by adding a beautiful upstairs lounge area. It has been the case that  in busy times people struggle to find a seat to enjoy their drink, so we hope that these changes will make that a little easier.

“I’m really excited about the changes we’re making to the pub and I can’t wait to get the scaffolding down and re-open.”
