Business owners, digital marketers, in-house representatives, and PR professionals from all over Europe listened to talks from around 80 speakers at the SEO (search engine optimisation) conference, including Tara West from Etch who looked at how brands, organisations and business can improve their engagement, and Greg Gifford from Dealeron provided his local SEO tips covering content, on-site optimisation, link building, citations and reviews.

In addition, Brighton SEO also featured an on-site exhibition which enabled delegates to meet businesses face to face to form relationships and to discuss their services and products.

The exhibition area also included a ‘build your own burger’ stand; an ice cream parlour; and one of Brighton’s local independent coffee baristas.

The event was founded in 2010 a pub by Kelvin Newman with a just small gathering of people. Now it is described by the industry as ‘Europe’s largest SEO conference’.

Mr Newman said: “This, just the second BrightonSEO held at the Brighton Centre, ticked all the right boxes – including the weather.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better day and it is such a satisfying sight to see Brighton Beach being taken over by thousands of BrightonSEO delegates.

“BrightonSEO is one giant discussion. The event is designed to provide delegates with the suitable tools and advice in order for them to go away and formulate their own opinions on what they’ve and to put what they have learned into practice.

“As we’ve always said; it’s about meeting, learning, and empowering delegates to do their job a bit better.”

The next BrightonSEO will take place in September at The Brighton Centre.
