Man hospitalised after being bottled in Brighton

Police are seeking witnesses to a bottle attack in Brighton earlier this month.

A 36-year-old Brighton man was hit with a bottle at about 12.45am on Saturday, January 14, at Castle Square, close to Old Steine.

He sustained cuts to his lower back, for which he received hospital treatment.

A 22-year-old man, also from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and after being interviewed was released on police bail until March 9.

Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon said: “If you saw what happened please contact us.”
