Police appeal after woman stabbed and beaten in Patcham

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident at Horsdean traveller site in St Michael’s Way, Patcham, in which a 37-year-old woman was stabbed and beaten during an argument.

A Sussex Police statement says that it happened outside sometime overnight on Tuesday (December 27) and Wednesday (December 28) and left the victim with facial bruising and a stab wound to her left buttock.

The suspect, a 35-year-old man who is known to her, is believed to have fled to London.

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have other information is urged to report it online quoting serial 77 of 27/12.
