Sussex Police are investigating two incidents where women were sexually assaulted in Brighton.

Officers have released an e-fit of the suspect after the incidents in the Hollingbury area on the morning of Thursday (July 29), which took place on Mackie Avenue and Ladies' Mile Road.

The initial offence took place at 9am and the second took place at 11.45am. On both occasions the women were on their own when they were approached from behind.

One of the woman was pushing her two-year-old daughter in her buggy, police said.

Both women had their skirts lifted up and one had her bottom exposed and touched, according to police.

Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon said: "On both occasions the suspect has been described as a white man, with dark head hair and facial hair wearing scruffy clothes. The man ran off and got into a small silver hatchback possibly an older shaped Renault Clio and driven off.

"One of the victims has helped us put together an efit to try and identify the man responsible."

Anyone who recognises him or has any information, please contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 356 of 29/07.
