Update: Jewels stolen from Withdean home before police chase

Three men were arrested after a house burglary in Withdean yesterday afternoon (March 9), where £600 cash and a quantity of jewellery was taken.

But after three men were seen getting into a car close to the incident on Glen Rise, officers, supported by a police helicopter, followed the vehicle and detained three men at a premises in Hove.

A bag containing items believed to have been stolen in the raid was also recovered.

A 35-year-old man of no fixed address and a 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both from Brighton, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

They are currently in police custody awaiting interview by detectives.
