Police are investigating after a man who was dancing in a city centre street was attacked with a glass bottle.
The 36-year-old victim was dancing on a bollard in the middle of a crowd of people in New Road, who were listening to a busker playing music at about 12.30am on Sunday, March 19.
Police said as he got off the bollard, a man came up to him and struck him across the face with a glass bottle causing a deep cut across his forehead.
A suspect was arrested nearby on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm, police said, but he then allegedly assaulted an officer and was further arrested on suspicion of assault.
Detective Constable Leon Howe said: “There were lots of people around listening to the music so we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault.”
