Varndean College is celebrating best-ever results in the International Baccalaureate
Students and teachers at Varndean College are celebrating their best-ever set of exam results in the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programme.
Forty-six students sat the qualification that requires them to study English, mathemetics, science and three other subjects. The college received its highest marks, with an average score of more than 36 points, equivalent to at least three A grades at A-level for university entry.
Among the highest performers was Haydn Francis, from Peacehaven, who secured a place to read natural sciences at Pembroke College, Cambridge.
