Odd sock exchange at Brighton hotel raises cash for charity

Jurys Inn Brighton has raised £1,452 for Ronald McDonald House with its 'odd sock exchange', and said the scheme is here to stay.

The exchange in the hotel lobby allows guests to donate their odd socks and make a charitable donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Brighton.

The hotel’s charity effort coincides with the unveiling of Jurys Inn Brighton’s refurbishment and introduction of Oddsocks Bar & Kitchen.

Damien Doyle, cluster general manager for Jurys Inn Brighton, said: “We are thrilled at the response to our Odd Sock exchange and are delighted to present Ronald McDonald House charity with this donation.

Jurys Inn Brighton is close to Brighton Station, and the chain has another branch, Jury's Inn Waterfront, on Brighton seafront.
