Police dealing with '˜distressed' boy at Brighton Marina

The road into Brighton Marina is closed as police are dealing with a distressed teenager on a footbridge in the area.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called at 2.48pm on Wednesday (February 1) and are currently talking to a teenage boy in a distressed state on a footbridge in Marina Way leading to Marine Drive, Brighton.

“The road into Brighton Marina is currently closed.

“There are no further details available at this time.”

This comes one week after a 17-year-old boy died after falling from a bridge at the Marina.
