The road into Brighton Marina is closed as police are dealing with a distressed teenager on a footbridge in the area.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called at 2.48pm on Wednesday (February 1) and are currently talking to a teenage boy in a distressed state on a footbridge in Marina Way leading to Marine Drive, Brighton.

“The road into Brighton Marina is currently closed.

This comes one week after a 17-year-old boy died after falling from a bridge at the Marina.
