UPDATE: Signal fault repaired

The signal fault at Lewes has now been repaired but passengers are warned to expect delays as services return to normal, Network Rail has confirmed.

A spokesman for Southern said: “An earlier points failure at Lewes was preventing train services from operating to and from Seaford. The line has now reopened.

Buses supplement train services between Lewes and Seaford.

Brighton and Hove buses are accepting tickets between Brighton/Lewes/Seaford and Eastbourne.”
