Vere Road, Brighton

From the style of the roadside lamps, this old photograph of Vere Road - from Clyde Road, bending towards Ditchling Road - is thought to have been taken in 1910. The houses were all residential and looked as they were when they were built in the early 1880s. Today, the houses are painted bright pastel colours that reflect the sun - when it shines. (Old photograph courtesy of Step Back in Time, 36 Queen?s Road, Brighton.)
