In an action-packed start, Albion went ahead on six minutes. Haydon Roberts was brought down in the penalty area and Gwargis scored from the spot.

Brighton doubled their lead after 14 minutes when Ryan Longman fired home from distance into the far top corner.

The Seagulls made it 3-0 ten minutes into the second half. Longman headed Gwargis's set-piece against the bar and Roberts was on hand to head home the rebound.
