Former Brighton & Hove Albion fans' favourite Kit Napier dies aged 75
Legendary former Brighton & Hove Albion forward Kit Napier has died aged 75.
The Scottish forward scored 99 goals in 291 appearances for the Seagulls from 1966 to 1972. He is third in the list of Brighton's all-time leading goalscorers behind just Glenn Murray and Tommy Cook.
Kit joined Brighton from Newcastle in the summer of 1966 and left for Blackburn in August, 1972. He was the top scorer in five of his six seasons at Albion and in the 1967/68 campaign equalled Albert Munday's post-war record of 28 goals. Kit also netted 19 goals in Brighton's promotion-winning 1971/72 season.
