EXHIBITION: Textiles at Littlehampton Museum

VISITORS to Littlehampton Museum can look forward to a material world of treats.

All Stitched Up is the latest exhibition on offer, in the Hearne Room until December 23, and consisting of textiles by the Pizazz art group.

Founded in 2002, the group said the museum’s exhibitions officer Lucy Ashby, purposefully chose members from a broad range of disciplines, including hand-stitching, professional quilters, machine embroiderers and fabric sculptors, to keep their work varied.

She added: “The exhibition is an excellent way to display all of these talents, and Pizazz feel that preparing for an exhibition is a splendid way to concentrate the mind.”

Dr James Walsh, chairman of the town council’s community resources committee, said there was a huge wealth of talent in the group, and praised the “marvellously intricate work”.
