Brighton Marina Cineworld moved into new group for Unlimited customers – and here is how it affects your monthly cost
Brighton Marina Cineworld is expected to reopen next week in line with government guidance – and they have made some changes to the Unlimited Membership.
Brighton Marina Cineworld now falls into a Unlimited Membership Group 2 – and the good news the monthly cost for Brighton Unlimited customers will decrease.
In an email to all Unlimited customers, Cineworld said: "As we expect to re-open our cinemas very soon, in line with current UK government guidance, we wanted to get in touch to let you know about some exciting changes to Unlimited memberships.
"We are introducing Unlimited Membership Groups for new and existing members. There will be four Groups, each containing a number of Cineworld cinemas, with different pricing. Your monthly Unlimited Membership fee will depend on the Group your local Cineworld falls into."
The Brighton Marina cinema falls into Group 2, which Cineworld said means their Unlimited membership price will decrease to just £15.99 a month (or £191.88 a year). The new price comes into effect once the cinema reopens.
Brighton customers will be able to use their Unlimited card at all Cineworld Cinemas in group 2 and 1, which includes Eastbourne and Chichester, at the reduced monthly cost. Crawley's Cineworld is in Group 3, which is £18.40 a month. People have the option to change their membership to Group 3 or Group 4.
For those with annual memberships for Brighton Marina, Cineworld said it will automatically extend the Group 2 Unlimited membership by one month free of charge when it reopens the cinema. Alternatively, annual members can change to Group 3 and there will be no changes as you’ll be able to continue using your Unlimited membership at all Cineworld Cinemas excluding Leicester Square.
All other Unlimited card benefits remain the same, from unlimited films to discounts on in-cinema snacks and drinks, said Cineworld.
The email to customers added: "Before our re-opening, we are going to send you another email to make sure your details are up to date and ensure you are in the correct Unlimited Membership Group, and give you the option to change your Unlimited Group. Keep an eye on your inbox in the next week."
