Horsham Library set to celebrate 25 years with day of fun

Horsham Library will celebrate its 25th birthday later this month. The library, in Lower Tanbridge Way, will celebrate the landmark date on Saturday September 13 between 10am-4pm and West Sussex County Council chairman Amanda Jupp will be cutting the cake to kick off the fun.

10am: Mrs Jupp will cut the birthday cake and refreshments will be served.

10.30-11am: Stagecoach School will present a musical selection.

11am–12pm: Sara Starbuck, author of ‘The Dread Pirate Fleur’ series for children, will talk about her writing (tickets available from the library for this talk).

12-2pm: Children’s face painting with music.

2-3pm: Meet JoAnne Good and Anna Webb - The Barking Blondes who host their regular BBC Radio London show about dogs and appear as guest presenters on the Alan Titchmarsh TV Show. Jo and Anna will be signing copies of their new book which tells the story of their friendship and their much loved dogs.

3-4pm: The Community Band of the Sir Robert Woodward Academy will perform.

There will also be appearances by ‘Bookstart Bear’.
