Brighton-based law firm wins national award

The team collected the award at the 13th annual ceremony in London on Wednesday, October 23, after being one of 12 shortlisted firms and one of hundreds of submissions.

The Law Society Excellence Awards have for the last 13 years celebrated the hard work and achievements of solicitors, legal teams and firms of all sizes across England and Wales.

With approximately 12,000 law firms in the UK, in a sector valued at £35.1billion in 2018, the awards allow firms to differentiate themselves.

Family Law Partners, whose headquarters are in Brighton, enjoyed rapid expansion this year, with the award win following the opening of new offices in London and Horsham as well as the arrival of new leading experts to the team.

During the award ceremony, the Law Society judges, who are recruited from across the industry, said: “Family Law Partners have made real changes to working lives and the industry through their focus on wellbeing and innovation.

“They display a significant and impressive focus and investment in people and technology, together with a willingness to share with the industry via their independent tech platform.”

Mark Harrop, head of the London team at the company, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award and it really is the culmination of years of hard work by the whole team.

“We were especially thrilled that the judges focused on our commitment to wellbeing and innovation, which are driven from the firm’s values that have been designed by and truly embraced by the whole team.”
