A Southern Water spokesperson said: "We are aware of a leak to our water main at Upper Rock Gardens/St James's Street in Brighton.

"Our inspector has investigated the site and it has been agreed that our partner Clancy Docwra will carry out works to repair the main from 7.30pm on Monday.

"As the repair work will be in a bus lane, a lane closure is required and buses will be diverted.
