National Careers Service announces new redundancy support for Sussex citizens

The National Careers Service has introduced a range of initiative to support employers, furloughed workers, students, those who have recently lost their job and anyone whose career path has been impacted.

These have included a series of online webinars and resources to support people facing redundancy, new graduates, and those looking to further their learning.

After it launched its first online 'redundancy support' webinars last month National Careers Service South East has announced it will provide weekly 'redundancy support' webinars until the autumn.

The webinars are free to attend and provide attendees with the opportunity to access personalised career support and interact live with qualified careers advisers.

The webinars, which will include a live ‘Q&A’ opportunity for all attendees, and will cover topics such as effective job searching tools and techniques, choosing a career in these challenging times, online training opportunities, CV writing and ways to build resilience.

The National Careers Service will also be providing furlough enrichment webinars to support individuals currently on furlough to make the most of career and learning opportunities available to them.
