Opening date for new Lidl store at the Goldstone Retail Park in Hove

A new branch of Lidl is set to open in Hove next week.

A new branch of Lidl is set to open in Hove next week.

The supermarket, which is based at the Goldstone Retail Park, on the Old Shoreham Road, is due to begin trading on Thursday 8 April.

It’s on the site of the empty Toys R Us superstore opposite Hove Park, and the former home of Brighton and Hove Albion, the Goldstone Ground.

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Adam Forsdick, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing our new store to Brighton.

“It is great for us to be able to create more jobs in the area, and we are proud to serve the local community at this time.”

The German supermarket chain has said the store will create 40 new jobs and will be open from 8am - 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am – 5pm on Sunday.
