Stay In Your Lane Vintage will welcome customers at 42 Bond Street in Brighton’s North Laine from June 17.

Becci Thackray 25, director and founder of the store, said it would offer an ‘exciting range of preloved high quality up-cycled branded clothing’, helping people move away from fast fashion to a more sustainable style.

“It ought to be possible to buy cool clothes without adding to environmental damage or compromising your values”, said Becci.

“The future of fashion is slow not fast!”

As well as having an environmental ethos, Stay in Your Lane also has ‘passion for our LGBTQ+ community’, said Becci.

“My goal is not only to create a space where everyone can find great clothing without contributing to fast fashion waste, but also to be a safe space where all humans can feel comfortable to be themselves,” she said.

“So, at Stay in Your Lane there will be no separation in clothing genders.

“If it fits and it makes you feel fabulous then this piece of clothing is made for you!”

Becci added: “It’s time we change. Ever been told to stay in your lane? Us too.

“Get in line folks, this lane is heading somewhere.”

Opening day on June 17 will feature a DJ set from 3.30pm to welcome customers in for the first time.
