Ideal has announced the appointment of Mike Henson as managing director. Mike will take responsibility for leading the Tech Track top 100* fast-growing, Brighton based IT services and support provider through the next phase of its growth.

Prior to joining Ideal, Mike was director for cloud and managed services at Trustmarque (part of Capita plc). He has also previously held senior roles at Maxima, Xchanging and Morse.

Commenting on his new role, Mike Henson said: “I’m really looking forward to working with the Ideal team and am hugely excited about the company’s potential for further growth.

“I was attracted by Ideal’s focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, and I’ve been particularly impressed with the think customer mind-set that is so established at the company.”

Mike’s appointment allows Claire Hopkins, who has been MD since she and Mo Merrick founded the company in 2009, to apply her entrepreneurial and strategy skills in support of the executive management team in a new founding director role

Claire Hopkins added: “At Ideal, we have always been about delivering on our promises, and bringing Mike on board means that we can continue to do this as we grow the business.

He has great experience in putting the customer first and creating propositions that leverage technology to deliver tangible business outcomes. All of us at Ideal are delighted that he’s joined, and excited about this next phase of the Ideal journey.”
