Ten new homes to be built on Old Town garages site?
A developer wants to build on the site which is currently accessible by way of a narrow access road located between 36 Broomfield Road and 65 Dillingburgh Road.
The land is behind the Broomfield Road address and a design and planning statement submitted with an application to Eastbourne council states there are 40 disused, partially occupied or dilapidated lock up garage units.

It is intended to form a new 4.8m wide access estate road, with hammer head turning facility for all vehicles.
The design and planning statement also states, “The designs are of a semi contemporary nature.”
The proposal is currently being consulted on and anyone wishing to make any observations can do so on the council website.
