Dragon's Den week puts pupils' business skills to the test

Pupils at a Littlehampton school put their business skills to the test for a Dragon's Den week.

The aim was to create a product for the Dragon’s Den sale and see which class made the most profit.

All the children at St Catherine’s Primary School, in Highdown Drive, took part and the week was led by year four teacher Lizzie Hart.

Mrs Hart said: “The week was a great success, with an overall profit of £254.97.

“The children had to combine their maths and literacy skills to create a pitch to persuade the ‘Dragons’ and gain a £10 investment by presenting a product along with potential profit, costing and market research.”
