Handy tips from Felpham pupils

A HANDS-ON approach to improving life has been taken by Felpham Community College pupils.

The students joined with others in the Felpham and Bognor schools network to draw round their hands on a special day.

They suggested five small things, written on their fingers, they could do daily to help improve life for others to show how everyone’s actions link together.

The activity took place during WE day 2015 as part of a year-long programme that nurtures compassion in young people and gives them the tools to create social change.

Madeleine Denby, a sixth-former at Felpham Community College, said: “The day was inspiring to all of us, how we can succeed to empower others and what we can to do help people around us and worldwide.

“A lot of the activities we did were based around the theme of a goat.

“We looked at how purchasing a goat in this country for a family in a less economically developed country can make such a huge difference to their lives.”
