Pupils campaigning to make community safer

Four Year 10 pupils at Millais School in Horsham are aiming to make Horsham safer by campaigning for smoother pathways on Hurst Road (near the Pavilions in the Park and Horsham Hospital) and Oakhill Road (near Millais School itself and Horsham Train Station).

They believe that these paths pose potential dangers to the public, specifically those using wheelchairs, the elderly, and young children using bikes and scooters.

Their methods of campaigning include social media, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

They have also set up an online petition, which you can find using the web address www.ipetitions.com/petition/smoother-paths-on-hurst-and-oakhill-road.

They would urge people residing in the Hurst and Oakhill Road areas to sign.

Back in November, the girls submitted a survey online, and 83 per cent of respondents agreed with them.
