"We will continue to monitor the situation and we are working closely with Public Health England.

"Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (Covid-19) will be a mild illness.

"The school remains open and providing your child remains well, they can continue to attend school as normal. We will keep this under review.

"Following the advice of Public Health England, we have identified the students who have had close contact with the confirmed case (as defined by the PHE guidance) and have communicated with their parents or carers and they have received the relevant information regarding self-isolation."
