Mobile Covid-19 vaccination unit in Brighton again tomorrow and Saturday (April 2 and 3)

The vaccine ambulance will be alongside The Level on the west side of Ditchling Road as you head into Brighton (opposite the Caroline of Brunswick pub, 39 Ditchling Road) tomorrow, Good Friday, and Saturday, April 3.

Pre-booked appointments are available for anyone eligible, including people aged 50 and over, unpaid carers or those deemed 'at risk'. Limited drop in appointments are also available during the sessions, which will run from 10.30am until 2.30pm.

It is the second weekend the ambulance has offered the vaccine as part of the No one’s safe until we’re all safe campaign being run by the local NHS and Brighton and Hove City Council.

More than 100 local people received their vaccination last weekend outside St Peter’s Church in York Place thanks to the teams, being managed by the HERE GP Federation.

One resident who attended did so because they found the Brighton centre overwhelming, She said: “Having my vaccine in the community put me at ease, and my concerns about the vaccine were answered so I was able to get protected.”

The idea of the campaign is to take the vaccine to local residents in the heart of their community to make it as easy as possible for people to get their jabs. The campaign includes outreach services and work to support the diverse communities in the city to understand any barriers to them receiving the vaccine.

To book an appointment at the community clinic, call 0300 303 8060. Those attending need one form of ID (photo ID not required) and NHS number, if known.

GPs will continue contacting eligible patients on their lists and offering vaccines to anyone who has not had one so far. Further community clinics are being planned and details will be published once confirmed.
