Armed police patrol Churchill Square in Brighton
Armed police were seen patrolling Brighton city centre this afternoon (January 20).
The officers, photographed in Churchill Square shopping centre, were performing an ‘armed reassurance’ patrol and talking to members of the public.
Photographer Eddie Mitchell said on Twitter: “Lovely to see Police officers out and about engaging with the public on a busy Sunday in Brighton, the threat is always there sadly.”
