Three buglers from the Surrey and Sussex Drum and Bugle Corp played the Last Post and the exhortation was read.

The guests, also from the Brighton and Hove REME Association and the Sussex Army Cadets, along with representatives from the Royal British Legion, then observed a two-minute silence.

The special Armistice event on the viewing pod was free for former or serving military personnel and cadets, plus their guests.
