Ashburnham and Penhurst village voice

I have received information from our PCSO Daryl Holter regarding a theft of a silver Landrover Discovery and Ifor Williams trailer on Friday June 15 from the Kitchen Road area of Ashburnham.

If you know anything of this incident or saw anything suspicious please contact Sussex Police by dialling 101. Other than this there are no other reported crimes in our villages.

The next village book group session is at 2pm today, Friday June 22. They’ll be talking about, Matt Haig’s, ‘The Possession of Mr Cave’. The book group gets together on the FOURTH Friday of each month. So, they will meet again on Friday July 27. They typically end up talking about several books and all sorts of topics. If you’d like to join them call Nicky on 892474.

The next Coffee Morning is on Monday July 2 in the church hall, Ashburnham Place 10:30am - 12pm. You are welcome to go along for a good friendly chat. For further information, please contact Tina on 01424 843728.

There will be a Police Panel Meeting on July 3 in the Reading Room (Church Lane, Ninfield) at 7.30pm.. Our PCSO, Daryl Holter will be in attendance at the Panel Meeting which will cover his area of Ninfield, Hooe, Ashburnham, Penhurst, Catsfield and Crowhurst and thus all from these villages are invited to attend.

The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library service will next be in Ashburnham (by the chapel) on Thursday July 5 and 19, 9.50am - 10.10am.

2m@1 are meeting on July 9, 1-3pm with a talk entitled “What you get out of a picture” with Dr Graham Whitham, an Art Historian.
