From Chris Fairman, Your church yard needs you!!Now don’t get that wrong, what I mean is, the group that maintains the church yard needs some help. We are very fortunate in having a wonderful church and a beautiful churchyard but it does need a fair amount of effort to keep it looking so good.

Until recently Tony Shepherd managed the upkeep with the assistance of several local people. Well time has taken its toll. Tony has moved away, and due to personal reasons, a number of the others have had to stand down. The result is that as we approach the summer we have just two volunteers to cope with all the work.

We urgently need a number of other volunteers willing to use the tools provided or their own tools to cut the grass and manage the ever present weeds.

If you feel you could commit a couple of hours a week and would like to help then please ring me and we can discuss how you can get involved. The work is not that hard and it can be most rewarding. Chris Fairman 01797 260360

White Ford Transit ‘double cab’ flatbed van with ‘Mr Lee’ written on the side Registration: S561 TOC.

Protect your mobile phone. During May there were several thefts of phones across the District. Most of these occurred due to careless owners leaving them on tables in public places, then being distracted by someone whilst the phone is stolen, normally by an accomplice. We also recommend registering your phone on Immobilise.com, a national property database which makes it easier for your phone to be returned to you if stolen or lost. The Database is FREE and used by all Police forces in the UK. We also recommend security marking your phone with a UV marker pen which Police can supply free of charge.
