Bedding on offer to charities

The Innkeeper's Lodge alongside Fontwell Park racecourse has dozens of duvets and 35 pillows to hand out. They are available to any local registered charity.

The items have become available after the hotel chain's bosses decided to fit new bedding in every room at its 90-plus lodges in the UK.

Marketing manager for Innkeeper's Lodge Chris Jeffrey said: "I'm sure the donation will be very worthwhile to many charities, particularly those involved in providing for the homeless or the elderly. We realise how important it is, coming up to winter, to have warm shelter."

The bedding is in excellent condition. It has become available simply because the company decided to meet its guests' expectations for a comfy sleep by renewing all its bed clothes to keep the standard high.
