Bexhill boffins win in chemistry 'Olympics'

Students from Bexhill College have completed the first round of the prestigious International Chemistry Olympiad.

Round one required students to sit a two-hour written paper which tested and challenged their knowledge, understanding and problem solving skills in chemistry. Nearly 1400 students competed nationwide, and so the Bexhill students are "delighted" to have achieved success in this first round.

Students selected from round two will form the UK team which will compete in the finals to be held this summer in Moscow, with almost 70 countries taking part.
