Bognor students display artistic talent

Myths, masks and montages were among the artwork displayed by talented Bognor Regis Community College students.

At least 200 of the students had a selection of their creativity put on show amid a mass of colour of skill at the neighbouring Arena sports centre.

Their ages ranged from about 12 up to 16-year-olds with their GCSE exam entries.

Among them was Hannah Bickford (14) whose display included a 6ft high purple trident made of wood and plaster.

She said: "It's a fork based on mythical fantasy. I'm quite proud of it. It took about three hours to make.

"I like art because you can develop your own ideas into what you like and you feel good about what you have done."

Sculptures, paintings, recycled art and printing were also on display.
