Jeremy Forty: Northiam resident who worshipped at Udimore and Brede Jeremy Forty has passed away. Please can I ask you to pray for his family and friends and those who knew him as he will be sadly missed.

Strike Back Against Cancer: Julie McDonnell a bellringer at St George’s Brede and her bellringing friends hope to raise £100.000 by Christmas, they have now raised £850,000 they are doing so well. The Government have withdrawn funding for 2nd stem cell transplants in England, despite it being available in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Julie had a 2nd stem cell transplant about 8 weeks ago and with out it she would not be here now, all money raised goes to NHSBT who do the transplants for adults and children who need a 2nd stem cell transplant. Friday 14 October: Pilates with Laura at 9.15am Brede Farmers Market in Brede Village Hall from 10am – 12noon Brede Farmers Market had a French connection last week in Brede Village Hall from 10am – 12noon Do go and see what is there this week. Brede Short Mat Bowls Club meet at Brede Village Hall on Friday evenings at 7.30.they are always keen to welcome new members, but if you would like to go and try it, just take a change of flat shoes. They have a tea /coffee break during the evening and you will be made very welcome. If you would like more information, please contact Graham on 01424 427459.

Monday 17 October: Yoga at 9.30am, Sprog a doodle do, 11.15am and Josie Creaser Excercises 7.30pm all in Udimore Community Hall. The whist players will be in action in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. The Village Hall is empty during the day, if you want to hire it please phone Carol Kynvin 01424 882123 The Guiding section meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall; the Rainbows meet from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, Julie Piper can be contacted for both on 01424 883464 or mobile 07863599537. The Brede Scout sections are all held in the Scout Hut Stubbs Lane, Beavers welcome Boys and girls from 6 years old they meet from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. Brede Painting for Pleasure meet at 9.30am in Brede Village Hall. The Knitters & Natters club meet in the Methodist Church Hall at 10am do join them if you like to knit.

The friends of St George’s are holding an illustrated talk by Dr. John Crook on Brede Memories. It will be held in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. Thursday 17 November: An indoors Glyndebourne. The VI O,clock Club presents a Cameo Opera 7pm for 7.30pm start at Brede Village Hall. Dress up in your finery and pack your four course posh picnic to eat between the singing. There is a prize for the best dressed table of any size. There is a raffle and other prizes.

Saturday 26 November: Quiz Night at Brede Village Hall if you wish to have a table for 8, please contact me as soon as possible as we have Ten teams already. We shall have a Fish and Chip supper and the cost is £9 per person. All proceeds are for the upkeep of Brede Village Hall.
