The Starr Trust held its Winter Extravaganza: Legends Live on Saturday (November 17) at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.

More than 250 guests attended the ball, which featured a three-course dinner, auction and saw the charity’s singers perform songs by artists such as Elton John, Frank Sinatra and Shirley Bassey.

Fundraiser at the family-run charity Rosie Molloy said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone that came and supported us and the evening raised a phenomenal £44,000, which is the highest amount we’ve ever raised from any event.”

The Starr Trust provides grants, training and mentoring to children and young adults aged ten to 18 to help them fulfil their potential in art, sport and education.
