A Brighton-based charity providing specialist care and support for people living with HIV has received a £500 donation from Sussex Police.

The contribution, to Sussex Beacon, has come from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of money received by the police from the sale of property confiscated by order of the courts.

Accepting the donation from PC James Breeds, fundraiser Lisa Marshall said: "The Sussex Beacon is really delighted to receive the £500 donation.

"On behalf of all our service users, volunteers and staff we would like to say a huge thank you to The Police Property Fund and we are very grateful for PC Breeds's nomination."

The Sussex Beacon promotes independence and aims to improve health and well-being by providing inpatient and outpatient services.
