Brighton Half Marathon 2019 is close to sold out

The organiser of the Grand Brighton Half Marathon is advising runners to sign up soon as general entry places are nearly full.

The 13.1-miler will take place on Sunday, February 24, with the route taking in city landmarks such as the Royal Pavilion and the i360.

Brighton-based charity The Sussex Beacon, which provides support and care for those living with HIV through inpatient and outpatient services, organises the event.

Race director Martin Harrigan said: “As the race approaches sell out, we’re advising all runners interested in joining us on February 24 to register soon to avoid disappointment.

"Unlike some other races, we never re-open for general entries so this is a last chance to enter.

"The 2019 race promises once again to be a great celebration of running in the city and we welcome runners of all abilities and wheelchair racers to our 2019 event.”
