Brighton Pride celebrations kick off with vibrant parade

Brighton and Hove was kaleidoscope of colour as the Brighton Pride community parade made its way through the city.

The rainbow flag was carried through the streets

Hundreds of thousands of people cheered on the parade, which included LGBT+ groups, emergency services, community groups, local companies and others, all celebrating LGBT+ Pride.

The parade set off at Hove Lawns at 11am and made its way along the seafront towards Brighton, through the city centre and up to Preston Park.

Tonight, Britney Spears is set to perform at the Pride Festival in Preston Park.
