Concert: As the 2014 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal starts this weekend The Warbleton Brass Band will be playing at a Concert For Remembrance eat the Burwash village hall tomorrow from 2pm. Tickets are £5 available at the door, there will also be a raffle and refreshments for sale in the interval. The concert is in support of Help for Heroes and The British Legion. You are all very welcome to go along.

Lunch Club: The Age UK Burwash branch will be having their monthly lunch club on Monday at the Bear Motel, from 12 noon. Anyone over the age of 55 can go along and join them for a delicious freshly cooked two course meal for £8. This is a friendly event enjoyed by many. Diary Dates: As there isn’t much tto report this week I will give you a few dates for November that may interest you all. On Saturday 1st The Monday Painters are holding one of their art exhibitions. See The News Agents window display for a small number of their talented work. ALso 1st Bonfire celebrations at the playing fields. 8th November Animals and Anecdotes from One Man Theatre Brian D Barnes at burwash village hall. Tickets available from the News Agents. Cleaning up the church Yard in time for the Remembrance Sunday services will take place on the 8th, volunteers welcomed. also a jumbles sale at the Swan Meadow pavilion. Thursday 13th another of the popular Soup Lunches will be held in the village hall. Saturday 15th Wartime Reflections at 4pm in St Bartholomew’s Church. 22nd a fun general knowledge quiz is being held. Call 01435 882107 to book in a team.
