Nine restaurants in Brighton and Hove were among the top 100 in the country, according to an online guide for foodies.
Square Meal announced the top restaurants today (May 29) and 64 Degrees by Michael Bremner came in at number seven, with Isaac At making an appearance at number 16.
Also in the top 100 were Little Fish Market (19), Salt Room (24), Cin Cin (34), The Coal Shed (39), Pascere (43), The Gingerman (72) and Terre a Terre (83).
Isaac Bartlett-Copeland, head chef of Isaac At who turned 25 in March, said: “It’s amazing to be placed so highly in the list, especially when Brighton and Hove has so much to offer when it comes to great restaurants.
"We’re so passionate about our local concept and what we do, so it’s incredible to be able to help put Sussex on the map like this.
"I started the business with less than £25,000, so to see how far we’ve come in three years is very overwhelming. We love what we do and we’re a really strong team, which helps us stay fresh and innovative with new dishes.”
