Brighton Gin, which was founded by Kathy Caton in 2014, is distilled and bottled by a small team in Portslade.

The colour of the label and waxed top are taken from Brighton’s seafront railings, and the lettering inspired by the sign above the entrance to the world-famous Palace Pier. The label itself is shaped like a ticket to the fairground on the Pier.

The judges at the industry awards voted Brighton Gin as ‘an outstanding example’ of design, awarding it 100 per cent in all voting categories for its creativity, impact, innovation, relevance and aesthetics.

Kathy said: “We’re excited to have achieved this award for our packaging and branding, which reflects our home town. Every part of our production is done by hand so this is a real acknowledgement of the work and care we put into every bottle of Brighton Gin. We’re proud to have been recognised for bringing the Spirit of Brighton to the world.”
