Discount supermarket Aldi is recruiting 52 store assistants in Brighton and the surrounding areas, as it is set to open a new store this autumn.

Aldi is looking for 35 staff for its new Brighton Pavilion Park store which will open in the autumn, and a further 17 store assistants across its Brighton, Lewes and Portslade stores.

The new store is opening on the Thursday, October 4 at Pavilion Retail Park, Lewes Road, Brighton.

Graham Hetherington, regional managing director at Aldi, said: “Aldi continues to be incredibly popular with shoppers in Brighton, and to cope with this demand, we’re looking forward to opening the fourth store in the area. The Brighton store opening is one of 70 new shops Aldi is opening this year, and the company is expected to grow its 775 stores to 1,000 by 2022.
