CCTV released after Brighton rape

Sussex Police has issued CCTV images of a man officers wish to speak to after a rape in Middle Street, Brighton.

A 19-year-old woman had met the suspect in a nightclub and then at Buddies fish and chip along the seafront in the early hours of Wednesday, November 30.

The pair went to an alleyway at Middle Street at around 4am, where the victim said she was raped.

The suspect is described as white, around 5 foot 8, aged about 24, with a thin face, bald or shaved head and clean shaven. He had prominent ears and was wearing a low round neck light coloured long sleeved blue top and blue jeans.

Detective Inspector Suzy Joseph said: “We would like to hear from anyone who knows this man in the CCTV or has any information about him. Our specially trained officers are supporting the victim.”
