Charity fete'sfunds success

Scores of people ensured hundreds of pounds were raised at the annual summer fete of Westergate House Care Home in Fontwell.

The afternoon brought in more than 700 for the residents' activities fund to enable more entertainment to be organised and trips out in the minibus.

The fete's highlight was the display by the South Coast Astralettes. They performed for more than half an hour to the enjoyment of everyone, including 82-year-old resident Joyce Boulton. She said the girls were lovely and it was fun to join, even without pom poms.
