This year’s club was called ‘King Goodheart and Baron Von Badbreath’, and the children became trainee knights transported to a land of castles and dragons in the kingdom or Boggy Nor.

The children had great fun, enjoying games, songs, craft and films.

They enjoyed an exciting story set in Boggy Nor, which was told by the team at Opengate Church.

Wise King Goodheart’s subjects were thrown into turmoil when a dragon threatened their land.

Slimy Baron Von Badbreath seemed to offer a solution, when he captured the dragon and was made the new king – but his true colours were soon exposed.

He was really working with the dragon, and wanted to tax all the sweets and golden groats of the poor knights.

However, King Goodheart had not abandoned his
people and returned in disguise to defeat all the baddies and restore joy and peace to the kingdom.
