Concert to bolster funding for centre

A concert of varied music will be given by the Arcadia Ensemble in North Bersted on June 10.

The 3pm event in Holy Cross Church will raise money for the church's community centre project.

The programme will include music by Bach, Dvorak and modern composers.

There will also be plenty of lighter music to ensure something for all tastes.

The ensemble are based locally and comprise former Christ's Hospital teacher Tom Jeffers (lute guitar and voice), his wife Jackie Jeffers (voice), David Asher (recorder), Margaret McDonald (flute and recorder), Maurice Thomas (lute and recorder) and Mike Overend (organ).

Admission to the church, on the corner of Chichester Road and North Bersted Street, will be 4 to include refreshments.
