18-year-old wanted by police arrested in Crowborough

A wanted man has been arrested in Crowborough, police said.

Lee Cummings, 18, unemployed, of no fixed address, had been wanted on warrant since January 29, after failing to appear at court.

Cummings was spotted in Crowborough and arrested at 7.10pm on Friday (February 7), Sussex Police confirmed.

He was later charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, possession of an offensive weapon, and making off without payment, said police.

All the offences are alleged to have taken place in Crowborough, confirmed police.

Cummings was remanded in custody to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday (February 10).
